Yeah, it’s an old Nissan commercial, but I’ve always loved the line since.

Can I consider the 4Runner a truck, or is the love dedicated to pickups? My pup loves riding in the 4Runner, back window up or down. He sits back there and just looks out the back window.   I can’t tell you how many times I see smiling people in my rear view mirror when my dog is staring right back at them.

Definitely extends to SUVs - was a Pathfinder in the first ad.

Our first “dog truck” was an Xterra.

Ruby got to take an adventure with me on Tuesday. I keep an old crate pad in the back seat of the truck for her.

Nice! I was home with just my youngest for the evening, and he wanted an adventure , so we grabbed the most trustworthy off-leash of our three and headed to an old federal access point that’s been closed to automobile traffic somewhat recently . It’s a cool spot - you can walk to the river and see the lock & dam system - but unfortunately it didn’t get much supervision or maintenance, so people started using it for dumping trash , etc. Plenty of evidence of that still out there; need to organize a clean-up crew to make it nicer for those who’d like to walk, fish and explore out there.

Ruby is an absolute treat to walk and has been since she came to us. She stays beside my hip with zero prompting. Cornbread likes to pull and crash through underbrush to get maximum smells in.  That being said I’d need to be bonkers to let either of mine off leash outside of a controlled environment.

She had to go to the vet to get some post surgery stitches removed. I treated her to a dog friendly store where she always gets treats and pets and  an easy stroll around a nearby lake.

I hope so, so far all dogs have hated my Z. We will have to wait and see about the Dodge.

Sounds like a good outing! We’ve trained ours from a young age off-leash and they all have a very consistent recall (except  the one we adopted from my brother).
